I graduated from Carson-Newman College with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education.  I have a master's degree from the University of Tennessee in Curriculum and Instruction.

Hi! My name is Mrs. Rouse.  I am the part-time reading teacher for third, fourth, and fifth grades.   I am so excited to be a Whitesburg Cherokee!!!  I retired after teaching thirty years with the Hamblen County School system in all elementary grades. This will be my seventh year having the opportunity to teach the upcoming generation at Whitesburg! I love, love teaching my students and watching them grow and learn to love to read. I have three grown children, Carrie Cobble, Rachel Dearing, and Taylor Rouse and five grandchildren, Nicholas and Walker Cobble and Janelyn, Blakely and Ketner Dearing.  I live with my husband, Rusty, in the Witt Community in Morristown.  Please feel free to contact me at school anytime you have questions or concerns.
