Subjects Taught

I graduated from Morristown East High in 1992 and then I went to Carson-Newman college where I majored in Music Education. I graduated from there in 1996.

I started teaching in 1996 in Greene County where I traveled to three different K-8 schools. I worked at Ottway, Baileyton, and Glenwood. I was hired here in Hamblen County that same year and worked at Lincoln Heights Elementary and Fairview-Marguerite. In 2000 I moved to Whitesburg and Fairview instead.

My name is Bethany Fields and I have been the music teacher at Whitesburg since 2000! My husband and I have two children. His daughter is a senior at Jefferson County High School and our son is in Kindergarten. We have four dogs and a Guinea Pig named Scuttles. I love reading, writing poetry, drama and musicals, four-wheeling, and spending time with my family and friends. We attend Morningside Baptist Church where my husband and I sing in the choir.
