Leslie graduated from Carson-Newman with a BA in Psychology in 1997.   She obtained a master's in Criminal Justice from UT-Chattanooga in 2001.  In 2005, Leslie received her master's degree in School Counseling from Carson-Newman.  She is certified preK-12 as a school counselor.  She received her Educational Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University in 2007 in Educational Administration and Supervision.  She holds a beginning administrator's license as well as her school counseling license.


Leslie has worked with children in children's programs since 1998. She started her career with the Department of Children's Services where she worked with abused and neglected children. She left DCS after 6 years to come to Hamblen County Schools. She has worked as a school counselor in Hamblen County since 2004, coming to Whitesburg Elementary in January 2005.  



Leslie grew up in Southwestern Virginia but made Tennessee her home when she went to Carson-Newman in 1994.  Leslie currently lives in Rutledge with her husband and four-legged babies.  3 dogs-Bandit, Pepper, and Spooky.  1 cat-Lola.
