I attended Hamblen County Schools and graduated from Morristown-Hamblen East High School.

I recieved my undergratuate degree at ETSU in Elementary Education K-8 and Early Childhood Special Education.

I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Tennessee.

I began teaching in January of 1996 at Alpha Elementary as the gifted and 3rd grade resource teacher.  In the fall of 1997 I transferred to a preschool special education classroom at Lincoln Elementary.

In February of 2001, I began work at the University of Tennessee as a Service Coordinator for Tennessee's Early Intervention System where I did home visits and worked with families who had birth to three year olds with special needs.

In October of 2006, I was blessed to be able to be a stay at home mom with my three children.

In the fall of 2010, I came back to Hamblen County Schools as a teaching assistant at Russellville Elementary until January when I was fortunate enough to become the Resource Teacher at Whitesburg and Witt Elementary Schools.
